Create your own shibori tie-dyed silk scarf,
using your choice of dye colour and gorgeous organic uk-grown silk.

This gorgeous package contains a lovingly hand wrapped collection of:

- Organic natural dye - choose colour from drop down menu
- Mineral salts to fix the colour for long lasting results
- A 50 x 140cm length of organic British-grown peace silk (kind to the moths!)
- A length of natural jute string and wooden pegs for binding and creating fun resist pattens on your textiles.

These packs are individually hand wrapped in recycled cardboard boxes, compostable paper packaging and natural plant gum tape and mailed in a compostable mailer bag.

The kit contains enough materials to dye your silk and there will be enough colour to dye another small item afterwards such as a vest or t-shirt.

DYEING INSTRUCTIONS are included in the kit, and you may also like to add my book "Botanical Inks plant-to-print Dyes, Techniques and Projects".

You will need: Some simple kitchen equipment - including a stainless steel mixing bowl, spoon, water jug or cup, heat source, a stainless steel pot, lid, tongs, water and a little time.

Please always be advised to wear protective eye wear, gloves and air mask while handling powders and be careful to avoid any splashes, inhalation of powder or vapour or getting powder or liquid solution on skin. The materials are caustic and can damage skin, eyes and air passages. Please keep away from pets and children and store away, in safe dry storage.
