Organic Mulberry Leaf extract

Info/about:

A chlorophyllin dye extracted from organic Mulberry leaves.

Chlorophyll is the green pigment used in photosynthesis in plants & usually turns brown with time but when stabilised with copper sulphate creates a strong long lasting green dye.

Colours:
5% WOF for hunter greens
2% WOF for pale jade/ lime greens

Ingredients:
Morus Alba, copper sulphate

Recipe:

5% WOF - light greens
10% WOF - Medium greens
15% WOF - Deep greens

Put the required amount of powder in a bowl, add a few drops of water to make a paste and smooth out any lumps, before adding a few tea spoonfuls of water, to make an ink.
To make a dye, add enough water to create the space required for your fibres to move around freely in. Simmer for 30 mins to dissolve the powder. Add fibres and heat for 60 mins until the desired depth of colour is acquired. Leave to saturate overnight for deeper shades. Remove and wash, rinse, air dry.
