This workshop offers you step by step demonstrations & useful info on how to source and prepare mordants from raw materials into mordant baths and how to succesfully mordant your fabrics so that they take dyes well and hold onto them with long lasting effects. And how to avoid getting unwanted streaks and patchy effects, for clear and even saturated colour.

Learn how to mordant cellulose (eg unbleached organic cotton, linen) + protein fibres (eg regenerative wool, organic peace silk) with both locally foraged plant mordants and non-toxic mineral mordants which can be easily bought from a local shop or online.
