ADVANCED Bundle Dyeing Workshop Recording

This 2 hour online class offers an in-depth experience into the bundle dyeing technique, looking at how to create a range of different surface designs.
We will create collection of several different bundle dye technique samples.

Please order an advanced bundle dyeing kit from our store, or gather your own collection of fabrics, dyes and mordants to use within the class.

This class will use a range of different fabrics, natural dye materials, mordants and modifiers and uses a simple bind and steam technique/ all-in-one pot technique/ iron blanket and many other exciting bundle dye processes!

Material kit includes:
- lengths of pre-mordanted org. uk-grown silk, unbleached european linen, org. unbleached cotton
- string
- organic dyes - dried flowers + leaves, extract powders
- paper labels
- iron crystals (ferrous sulphate)

You will need:
- A heat source
- Steamer (stainless steel pot, lid and insert/sieve/strainer)
- Stainless steel tongs
- ph neutral orgainic soap
- Clear vinegar e.g. apple cider/white wine in a bowl or mister
- stainless steel tongs
- A collection of fresh flowers and leaves - (more info on sources provided on booking)
- onion skins
- a mallet or something to hammer with eg a rolling pin
